Rational Application Developer (RAD) is an integrated, holistic tool for J2EE development including a rich and intuitive set of features for portal development targeted at IBM WebSphere Portal. It provides many features around portal development, and in most cases there are multiple options which are tuned to a specific use case. This session discusses various options from a scenario perspective -- helping not only improve productivity but also enhance user experience with the product. In addition, we'll showcase some proven best practices based on customer experience around performance and usability which can assist in a rapid and quality portal code development. We'll conclude with a brief preview of upcoming release of RAD portal tooling.
