IBM Lotus Notes and Domino applications can benefit of object-oriented programming (OOP), as their code usually gets easier to read, understand and maintain, and therefore less error-prone and more robust. By leveraging inheritance you can build components and even frameworks for simple reuse, which can be tested separately (unit tests!). By using these you can accelerate the development process. We're using OOP in our custom applications and have built a framework, which we want to show you. We'll discuss the pros and cons of OOP vs. the usual procedural programming with you, and we want to share our experiences and get to know yours.
